The seven rows the raise should touch

Level 1: Watch it answered · Exercise 1 of 1

Before anyone raises tea prices, see exactly which rows a WHERE category = 'Tea' would change.

Data: Northshore Coffee.

Why it works, clause by clause

  1. SELECT id, name, size, price: enough columns to recognise each row and see the value that will change.
  2. FROM menu_items WHERE category = 'Tea': the same WHERE the UPDATE will use, word for word.
  3. ORDER BY id: so you can find the same rows again after the change.
